Privacy Policy

Version 1.4, effective 20 October 2026

1. On-device data and iCloud synchronisation

The app stores on the device, in particular, an optional nickname, avatar, study settings, answers, progress, statistics, favourites, notes, tests and simulator data. The simulated leaderboard uses local fictional opponents.

The data supports study features and, when iCloud is used, continuation of study across devices. The legal basis for processing necessary to provide these features is performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Providing optional profile details or using iCloud is not a condition of local study; without synchronisation, changes are not automatically transferred to other devices.

When synchronisation is enabled, the app stores supported data in the private Apple iCloud / CloudKit database of your account and transfers it to the app on other devices using the same Apple Account. This is not public sharing or sharing between different users. In this version, synchronisation is enabled by default unless the user previously disabled it; actual transfer depends on the availability of the iCloud account and service. It can be disabled in the app’s Settings. Optional analytics has a separate setting.

Synchronised data includes the profile and study plan, including the configured exam date and driving licence group, answers, progress and statistics, favourite and problematic questions, notes, saved test results and custom test configurations (name, description, question counts, time, score threshold and other options), saved custom intersection animations (name, layout, participants, signs, assigned questions and embedded preview image), completed audio-learning questions, goals and points, selected settings and game progress, simulator practice-exam results including telemetry, saved regular drive history with data on speed, pedals, controls and the course of the simulation, simulator preferences (including the last map, control opacity, look-around sensitivity and announcements), simulated fines with images and custom saved road-sign references. Technical record and replica identifiers and change information needed for synchronisation are also transferred. Simulated fines are not records of actual offences, and practice results are not official exam results.

This feature does not transfer live camera input, screen recordings, separate diagnostic exports and debug logs, permissions and consents, notification tokens, calibration or a drive or playback currently in progress. Apple verifies purchases separately through StoreKit. The app does not request your Apple Account password or email for synchronisation; it uses a technical CloudKit identifier to detect account changes.

Local and cloud data is retained to preserve saved study and synchronisation; the app generally does not set an automatic expiry period for this data. The exceptions are regular simulator drive history, which retains no more than the 20 most recent records and a total of 100 MB, and detailed driving data (data used for graphs) in practice-exam results, which is retained for the 20 most recent exams; for older exams, the result, points, errors and timeline events remain. Manual deletion, resets, removal of the oldest drives and removal of detailed driving data from older exams are synchronised between devices when synchronisation is enabled. The app deletes temporary files used for sharing and playback no later than after one day and during a full reset. Separately exported copies are not affected. Supporting synchronisation and recovery copies may contain earlier values even after progress is reset. Disabling synchronisation or uninstalling the app from one device does not erase cloud data or copies on other devices. Local data may independently be included in Apple system backups according to account settings. Section 8 explains how to request erasure.

2. Purchases

Apple processes payments. Through StoreKit, the app verifies the product, entitlement status, validity period and technical transaction identifier. The operator does not receive card numbers or Apple Account passwords. This processing is necessary for performance of the contract and protection of purchases.

3. Optional analytics and diagnostics

The app activates Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics only after separate consent has been given. Consent is not a condition of use and can be withdrawn at any time in settings.

Analytics may process an installation identifier, app and operating-system versions, device model, language, approximate region, launches and updates, screens visited, usage duration and purchase events. Crashlytics may process installation and session identifiers, crash time and state, operating-system version, device model, stack trace and technical error information.

The purpose is to understand stability, errors and feature usage. The legal basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. The data is not used for advertising or decisions producing legal effects.

The recipient is Google Ireland Limited and its approved processors. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area using the protection mechanisms applied by Google, in particular adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. Details: Firebase Privacy.

Crashlytics generally retains reports and identifiers for 90 days. In Google Analytics, event data is retained for 2 months and user data for 14 months; the retention period for user data resets when the user becomes active again. After consent is withdrawn, the app stops further collection and resets the local analytics identifier.

4. Notifications

Once notifications are permitted, the app may use Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging. The APNs/FCM token and Firebase installation ID are processed to deliver reminders, content information and technical notifications. Permission can be disabled in iOS; the identifier is retained for as long as needed, until it is deleted or invalidated.

5. External content

When an external animation or link is opened, the device communicates with the relevant server, for example etesty2.mdcr.cz. Its operator may receive the IP address, technical player information and the time of the request.

6. Recordings, camera, sensors and CarPlay

Screen recordings are created only when deliberately started and are stored locally. The operator receives them only if the user voluntarily sends them. Camera input for sign recognition and motion-sensor data are processed on the device. CarPlay provides the vehicle’s system with the information necessary to display and play audio content.

If the user saves a cropped road-sign image as a custom reference, that saved image is synchronised when iCloud is enabled, as described in section 1; live camera input is not transferred in this way.

7. Recipients and security

Apple iCloud / CloudKit provides the synchronisation infrastructure. Apple also processes data under its own Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms, which identify the applicable contracting entity according to the account’s country. The app operator does not have routine administrative access to the contents of a user’s private CloudKit database; this does not limit the operator’s responsibilities or the user’s rights.

Apple services may involve processing outside the EEA. Apple’s Privacy Policy provides information about recipients and safeguards for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. The app does not guarantee storage exclusively in the Czech Republic or the EEA, or end-to-end encryption of all synchronised data.

Other than Apple, Google and an external service requested by the user, data is not provided to other recipients unless required by law. The operator does not sell data, and the app does not contain targeted advertising. The operator applies appropriate security measures and data minimisation.

8. User rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, users have rights to information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Requests may be sent to info@jandobes.cz. Reasonable verification or a technical installation identifier may be needed to locate the data.

Identify an iCloud-related request as a request concerning Autoškola Professional data and specify whether it concerns local data, iCloud or all copies. Never send your Apple Account password. Because the storage is private, handling the request may require cooperation directly on your devices. The operator will provide information about action taken without undue delay, normally within one month, and explain any statutory extension or reason for refusing the request.

Current game resets and “Reset everything” are not complete erasure of personal data; they retain some data, particularly simulated fines and supporting copies. To stop further transfers, disable synchronisation on all devices. Deleting cloud data while leaving synchronisation enabled may cause it to be uploaded again from a local copy. If you need help removing app data or wish to exercise your rights concerning personal data, contact info@jandobes.cz. We do not have direct access to your private iCloud; handling the request may require your cooperation on your devices. The app currently has no single button that guarantees removal of every copy. This technical limitation does not limit your statutory rights.

A complaint may be submitted to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic, uoou.gov.cz.

9. Children and changes

A user under 15 cannot independently consent to optional analytics; consent must be given or approved by a legal representative. New consent will be requested for a new processing purpose based on consent.
